I am a journalism graduate student at Georgetown University. I am currently applying to both 

law school and Master of Business Administration programs. I am a highly motivated 

twenty-three-year-old who loves new opportunities and dreams of starting my own business. 

 

Moving to Washington, DC in January has been an incredible experience. Last Spring, in addition 

to courses in political, investigative, and computer-assisted journalism, I completed an 

internship with Congressman Steven LaTourette. This semester I am focused on memoir writing, 

ethics, and business reporting. I recently began a blog called Horse Sense According to Grandpa 

Quinn where young people transitioning into their adult lives can seek realistic advice to secure 

a promising future from my grandfather, Patrick Quinn, an Irish man born on St. Patrick’s Day 1931.
